Sexy Pastel?

Pastels tend to be thought of as old lady or easter sunday clothes. But with pastels all over the runway, I do think designers are taking the step forward with pastels and making them edgier and more fashionable. Should our pastel shoot tend on the side of edgy and sexed up? Food for thought.

Valentino has been all over this whole pastel thing in his Red collection these past two seasons. A little dolled up, but I think the shapes and proportions tend on the side of fashion forward.

While I wasn't a fan of a lot of the shapes Marc Jacobs created in the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 RTW line, it was indeed a pastel explosion. These are just some of the ones I liked more. They are a cool play on pastels.
